At present, there is no centralised resource giving information about possible action which can be taken with respect to breaches or violations of the right to health in this specific area. There are various small pieces of information on websites such as the Equality and Human Rights Commission, British Institute of Human Rights and Amnesty International (links to these pages and more can be found at the end of this page) but trawling through these sites (and knowing where to look in the first place) takes considerable time. It is the intention of this page to gather together these disparate resources and provide a first point of call.
The Citizens Advice Bureau provides a very useful website setting out 'NHS Patients' Rights'. There is a specific section on Care in Hospital which covers waiting times, visting and single sex wards. This can be found at: http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/your_family/health/nhs_patients_rights.htm#Careinhospital
